Food Fight
A downloadable game
A Pokémon-style game with food related monsters that you can craft and battle with
How To Play:
Move the character using WASD
Access your various UI screens using the toggle buttons at the top left and right side of screen
*Cheat* Pressing the ‘Z’ key within the Inventory screen gives access to a button that gives one of every Recipe Ingredient to the player
Recipes can be created using their associated buttons
The players primary Monster can be swapped out using the Party Inventory backpack buttons
A Monster can be released via the Release Menu
Within combat you must first choose to either Fight or Flee
Choosing Fight will open up the Ability Menu, choosing an Ability will trigger it’s effects
Hitting certain monsters with specific abilities will award the player with monster-specific Ingredient drops

Developers and their Contributions:
Samuel Beaudoin 100883341:
- Retrieved the Assets and Liscenes for the UI elements and Audio used throughout the project
- Developed the Title Scene
- Created the Credits panel, listing all the citations and liscensed used
- Created the Monsters, Crafting, and Inventory UI for the player
- Created the Crafting System, which used collected ingredients to create monsters for the player
- Created the Ingredients and Recipes Scriptable Object classes, which are used by the crafting System
- Allowed Monsters to be created with different number of abilities, so that monsters are more unique when crafted
- Created the Monster Inventory management system, allowing players to have a party of monsters,
change the monster they want to fight with, see specific monster details, and release monsters from the party.
- Created the ingredients UI that displays a list of the player's collected ingredients used for crafting.
- Added A Debug button 'z' that can be used to give players extra ingredients for testing purposes
- Added the music to the scenes
- Added sound effects for the battle scene, including ability sounds, monster damage sound, stat effect sounds, etc.
- Organization of the many files in the project
- Helped with creating some the custom assets used in the project, such as monsters or ingredients
Giuseppe Ragusa 101109502:
- Created The Tilemap used in the overworld, and added collision
- Created the lighting effects in the overworld tilemap
- Created the Scene transitions between each Scene
- Created the Movement behaviour of the player and drew the player animations
- Added the Saving and loading of the player's position (not inventory however :( )
- Created the monster pools, which will provide a random monster to encounter when walking through grass
- Created the Battle Scene
- Made the UI for the Battle System
- Added Battle Events that control the overall flow the battle scene
- Created the monster scriptable object that includes the monster's stats, custom animations, and drop tables
- Made the Ability Scriptable object that can be used by any monster for customizability
- Made ability effects, which are attached to abilities and actively modify monsters stats in battle
- Created the Damage calculation logic that determines ability damage, based on monsters stats
- Created Monster behaviours that can actively respond to the effects of abilities both positive and negative
- Created the Monster AI that is used by opponents to make smart decisions with their given abilities
- Added drop tables to monsters that provide ingredients for the crafting system
